JOF Library Set to Launch Mobile Library Initiative

In a groundbreaking effort to bring books closer to underserved communities, JOF Library has announced the launch of its Mobile Library Initiative. This project aims to reach schools, rural areas, and public spaces where access to books and educational materials is limited.

Taking Books Beyond the Library Walls

The JOF Mobile Library will feature a fully equipped vehicle stocked with hundreds of books, ranging from children’s literature and academic textbooks to novels and self-improvement materials. The goal is to ensure that people—especially students—who do not have access to a physical library can still enjoy the benefits of reading.

“We believe that everyone deserves the right to knowledge, regardless of their location,” said Ada Okafor, Project Lead for the initiative. “This mobile library will break barriers and bring learning opportunities to those who need it most.”

How It Works

The mobile library will operate on a scheduled route, stopping at schools, markets, and community centers. Visitors will be able to borrow books, attend storytelling sessions, and participate in literacy workshops. Special programs will also be introduced, including:

📚 Reading Challenges – Encouraging students to read and win prizes.
📖 Guest Storytelling – Featuring authors, teachers, and volunteers reading to children.
📅 Weekly Book Rotation – Ensuring fresh books are always available.
