By building hope in individuals and empowering communities with resources and skills, we create a ripple effect of positive change that transforms lives and strengthens society.
TECHUPYOUTHS – Youth Tech Career Launch Program is a two‑month bootcamp and mentorship initiative by Julie Outreach Foundation, designed to empower Cameroonian youths aged 18–25 with practical technology skills and career clarity. Over 8 weeks, participants receive hands‑on training in Linux, Windows Administration, Networking, Cloud Computing, and Artificial Intelligence, supported by career orientation, mentorship, and industry exposure. The program bridges the digital divide by offering accessible, high‑quality training that prepares youth for employment, entrepreneurship, and global opportunities. Key highlights include practical training in five major tech tracks, personalized mentorship, guest speaker sessions, industry networking, certification, and post‑program job support. More than 50 young people will be trained and certified, with over 80% expected to pursue defined tech career paths within three months. By building a sustainable pipeline of skilled talent, TECHUPYOUTHS strengthens Cameroon’s tech ecosystem and fosters long‑term partnerships with companies, NGOs, and government agencies.
This series of workshops will focus on providing valuable technological skills and knowledge to community members, through certification courses in Information and Technology. Scheduled at least twice a year, the workshops will take place in various community centres. Focus will be on building tech minds and fostering innovation through basic and advanced tech trainings. Registration will be moderately priced, and proceeds go towards funding scholarships and educational resources for local students
With the aim of turning theory to practice, we will organise workshops to encourage and support participants to design and implement community focused initiatives, which will help them apply the learned leadership skills in real-life settings while directly impacting local communities. We will also host youth empowerment forums and dialogues that will bring together leaders, experts, and stakeholders to discuss challenges, share ideas, and inspire collective actions. Our already existent and growing online community will serve as the appropriate medium to reach out to the most youths.
As has been the case over the years, this event, in preparation for each upcoming academic year, is geared towards providing school supplies and educational resources to students in need. Held in late summer every year in different designated schools, the event will entail offering free supplies to students and make subventions for school fees as well. Volunteers and donors are welcome to support our goal of empowering students for success.
The community building events will offer free training and educational workshops to members of the community especially the underprivileged on non-tech related fields such as financial literacy, public relations, communication and vocational training. The event will be conducted by trained members of our team, and volunteering local experts. By equipping individuals with practical skills, the workshop will prepare them for the real world, empower them to pursue new opportunities and enhance their overall quality of life, while also aligning with our organization’s focus on tech education & community support.
We intend to, through this workshops and seminars, conducted in secondary schools and universities, focus on personal growth, communication skills, emotional intelligence, and effective leadership principles. Participants will gain skills that will help them lead with clarity, courage, and purpose, and develop values to become better leaders in the society. The events will also entail mentorship programs which will connect young people with experienced professional leaders, who will guide, advise and support their growth process as young leaders.
In a bid to reach out effectively to communities in need, this event will involve distributing essential food items and household materials to local families and whole communities in need like refugees, IDPs, widows, orphans and old people. The event is planned for a weekend in the summer, with the chosen community, and time to be announced subsequently. Participation is free, and it serves as a significant outreach effort that directly supports our mission and contribution to the SDGs 1 and 2 to reduce poverty and alleviate food insecurity in underserved communities
Being our main driving force, bringing Christ to the world is a thing of purpose to our organisation. These non-denominational activities will focus on bringing the gospel of faith, hope and love to local communities. They will involve evangelism, and upcoming editions of the Bible Recitation Competition we began some years back. We also intend to, in a long run, organise faith base seminars, open discussions, counselling and purpose-driven orientation seminars to build resilience and hope in the minds and hearts of the downtrodden.
